“Fish in a Tree” By Lynda Mullaly Hunt -
I loved this book because it helped me understand people who find reading hard, and I felt like it was a really sweet book. In the book, there is a girl named Ally, and she has dyslexia. She makes lots of “mistakes” because she found reading hard, but eventually she learns from them! And there’s a quote at the front of the book, “If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live the rest of its life believing it’s stupid,” (quoted by Albert Einstein) and what they mean by that is if you judge someone by something they find hard, they will lose their courage. Lynda is one of my favorite authors, even though she hasn’t written much!
It’s one of my favorite middle grade books and I would definitely rate it 5/5 stars!
